The Knittlinger is an amazing, durable harmonica, but sometimes people break the 3 rules of harmonica care, and need new reed plates: 1.) They don’t brush their teeth before playing, aka they play dirty, or 2.) They blow/draw harder than is required to make it sing. Blowing too hard on a good harmonica will kill the reeds, or 3.) They share their Knittlinger with people who break the 2 previous rules. Sharing a harmonica is not only a health risk, but it’s the same as signing its death certificate! And then there are the people who just love to play their Knittlinger so they play long and often, and eventually they wear it out. So for the rule breakers and Knitty lovers, we offer these replacement reed plates. We do not include screws with reed plates as we assume you still have the screws from the plates you’re replacing.
