The Scout features the first 7 holes of a standard 10-hole diatonic harmonica, preserving the notes and chords used most often while eliminating the highest register. The result is a remarkably compact instrument that still feels familiar and natural to play.
Unlike comparable compact harmonicas that offer only a limited selection of keys, the Bushman Scout is available in 8 major keys—2 more than competing models—giving players greater flexibility for every musical situation.

The Bushman Scout™ harmonicas are being packaged and readied for shipment from our factory, and aren’t in our hands yet. We expect them to arrive around July 24th, 2026, and we will have them on display at the 2026 SPAH Convention in St Louis, MO. We expect the first batch to sell out right away so you’re smart to order now, but you should call John Hall at 269-858-8773 to place your order instead of ordering it here online. That way, your card won’t get charged until your order is shipped. We just listed it here so Bushman harmonica players can know what new harmonicas are in the pipeline, and when they can expect them to be available. Pre orders now welcomed.
